Head for the Hills:
In 1975 after opting out of their contract with Columbia, Goose Creek Symphony retreated to Vancouver Canada to record this beautifully produced album, HEAD FOR THE HILLS. The album was produced at a state of the art studio for the time, and even today sounds extra crisp. HEAD FOR THE HILLS was finally released to the fans at live shows and here at the website in the 1990's. Now, it's available for the first time as a proper retail release in stores & online.
This special edition version of HEAD FOR THE HILLS includes brand new packaging, artwork by Chris Kro, remastered sound, and a bonus track from the original sessions that has never been released! The track is titled "Workin for the Devil" and was written by former GCS member Mike McFadden. The track was recently discovered in a batch of tapes at Charlie Gearheart's Arizona home, and after revisiting the recording it was once again paired up with the rest of the songs from the original HEAD FOR THE HILLS session. Goose Creek fans simply won't be disappointed with this fourth release from the newly formed BO Records. As with the other BO Records titles, the cd comes beautifully packaged with rare never before seen photos in digi-pak format. |
