LOWDOWN
When you think about the 2001 Goose Creek Symphony tour, you just gotta start with one word: WOW!

The band and the fans really are THE FLOCK THAT ROCKS!
We just have to say thanks for all the support we've gotten from all the fans who have traveled every weekend for hundreds of miles and spent the nights dancing their feathers off to the music of the Goose. It has all been a great success and I'm here to confirm that GCS still rocks the flock.

The boys in the symphony got to reconnect with old friends and make a passel of new ones along the way. They toured around the Southeast as usual and also goosed the Northwest and the Northeast this year. The Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee was a big blowout. Thousands, I'm guessing 20,000, of people got GOOSED. Many were already GCS fans but many were not familiar with GCS when they got there, but they were when they left!

The Riverbend folks were impressed. They want GCS to come back and plan to use a bigger stage area next time.
There were lots of big festivals where the Goose made a lasting impression and rocked the flock, like the Master Musician's Festival in Somerset, Kentucky; the big festival they played on campus at Penn State University, the Annual Classic Rock Festival at the Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater in Washington State, the Kentucky River Jam near Lexington, and of course Goose on the Lake.
We camped, ate good food, hollered, picked and grinned. At each and every concert, the boys in the symphony put on a tremendous show, whether it was a small 300-seat club or an audience of thousands. Each of the regular six musicians is a talent to behold, but combined together as a group, the magic happens, and lots of people want to be there when it does.

Many of the GooseHeads have started getting together before and after shows to visit and swap Goose stories. They even plan their own events where we meet up for "GooseHead Gatherings," to fellowship, listen to good music and generally have a great time.

Goose Creek Symphony wants to thanks our sweet cheerleader/ cruise director / GooseHead Peach, for all the love and effort she puts forth. She has planned parties and led her flock to so many concerts and events this summer than we can't even count them anymore. She and the other loyal GooseHeads certainly made this touring season a great success and we won't forget it.

The GCS message board and the chat room, are good places to meet and connect with other GooseHeads and the band, even when you can't make it to a concert.

This tour the FLOCK THAT ROCKS concert T-shirt has been a big hit and we've sold a ton of them. If you can't come to the shows and shop, never fear, you can shop the online Goose Creek Symphony Company Store and order your Goose Gear right here on this web site. For birthdays, anniversaries and holiday gifts, everybody needs a little Goose. There are still a few more concerts left in the season so please check the Landings page for more information on where you can get with the Goose and get loose.

Geese Be With You all.
Later with the Lowdown,

Dale
