LOWDOWN
Hello Gooseheads!
Dale here with the Lowdown. Whew! It has been a busy winter and spring,
getting the boys ready to go back out on the road for this season. The 2002
tour is shaping up and you can view the details on our LANDINGS page, which
we continue to update regularly. All the Gooseheads are gearing up too, for
a year of meeting up at Goose shows to enjoy the music and reconnecting with
the Flock.
There is talk of studio work in the near future. Charlie has been writing
songs while wintering out west . Hešs been doing his thing so watch out!
Paul has already been in the studio, starting work on his own album and we
are all looking forward to it.
We have been able to gather for a few parties so wešve stayed connected over
the winter and that has been good for everybody.
We hope to see some of our prodigal sons return this season...musicians who
have worked with us from time to time, who may return for shows here and
there. Maybe we will get to see good ole Roy and even TimBob with the
symphony at times this year. What an excellent reunion that will be!
The entire tour kicked off with two nights in Nashville at The Sutler on
April 26 and 27. The Kentucky Theater and the Mountain Arts Center have
already been GOOSED this year! The Goose entertained at the Big Kerrville
Folk Festival in Texas this year and made a lasting impression, as you cam
imagine, in Arkansas and Kansas when they played there. There are going to
be plenty of good opportunities for you to get GOOSED, so be sure to check
out the Landings page, bookmark it, and then check back often!
The Goose Creek Symphony Message Board is still going strong and has been
great for all the Gooseheads and the band to stay connected.
People are still finding us over the WWW and delighted to also find they can
order GCS music and other merchandise on our Company Store page.
We just announced that we have re-issued the Goose Is Loose Double Live CD
set. It is the live show on two CDs, which we recorded in Chattanooga in
1994. Some of the songs in this collection are not on any of the other
CDs--not even the Goose is Loose.
Don't miss the 7th Annual Goose on the Lake this year in Allegre, Kentucky.
This has turned into a favorite among music festivals and this year Bone
Pony is one of the opening acts, along with Big Nancy, Nelly Wilson and Big
Vessel.
Later with the Lowdown!
